By RAIL : One of the convenient ways to go to Manali is to travel upto Chandigarh, one of the Shatabdi points and then travel up by bus. |

By ROAD : Manali is connected with Shimla, Chandigarh, Delhi - Pathankot, Dharamsala and many towns in Himachal, Punjab and Haryana with direct services. During summer months direct buses are also available for Keylong in Lahaul and Kaza in Spiti valley. |

There is a colourful Tibetan Bazaar at the extreme south end of Manali sells Kullu shawls, caps, and other woollen clothes, and a good range of Tibetan souvenirs that includes thangkas (Buddhist paintings on cloth, see Arts & Crafts of HP for more), silver and turquoise jewellery, and music cassettes. There are plenty of places to buy clothes and souvenirs in Manali, particularly along the Mall.
